Most of you will know that the new EC project EUTEMPE-RX is preparing course modules for medical physicists with specialty ‘radiology’. We want to reach with our initiative all (European) physicists working in radiology departments (paid by radiologists or others), in medical device companies and in regulatory authorities and willing to further grow in their profession (EQF level 8, the level of the expert). Another group of possible participants, and equally welcome, are PhD students investigating medical physics aspects in radiology.
Our course modules cover very interesting practical and scientific themes dealing with our reality in radiology and all the future challenges. The courses aim to help us become experts. The courses can be followed independently from each other.
Each course module consists of 2 parts: an on line preparation part using an e-learning platform (you just need internet access and some free time for studying prior to the face-to-face part) and a part where the group meets face-to-face for more teaching, practicals, discussions, workshops and, optionally, a test with certification. EFOMP is involved in this process too. The modules take place in very nice regions in Europe.
Here are a few good reasons to attend all or some of the modules during 2015-2016:
– they are free of charge NOW; if the modules are repeated later on, in a sustained network, it will no longer be for free, but at true costs. Now the development and first run of the teaching activities is covered by an EC grant of the Euratom program, FP7.
– the teachers are very enthusiastic and plan to make the courses very interesting, using all modern tools and interactivity possible. It is also your unique chance to visit specific facilities, hospitals, companies and countries or use unique software tools available in the centers. In this run of the modules, the teachers ‘play at home’.
– we allow only 20 participants per module (apart from Module 1, where more participants can join).
– user groups will be constructed with the participants. Be member from the first moment!
Please visit our website http://www.eutempe-rx.eu/ for more information. Course content can be found under the tab ‘Modules’.
The EUTEMPE-RX project team is very happy to invite you to apply for participation in our course modules NOW.
