The course modules are free of charge, as we are funded by the EC, but travel, hotel and meals need to be covered by the participants themselves. The course program has started with Module 1 on the 17th of December 2014 and the online phase of the first module is already well under way (registration for this module has been closed). Now it is high time to register for Module 2, or for any of the other remaining modules. Deadline for application for Module 2 is the 12th of February 2015.

Module 2 is entitled ‘Radiation biology for medical physicists in radiology’ and is organized by Andrea Ottolenghi in the University of Pavia, Italy. This module aims to help the future MPE in D&IR acquire the knowledge, the skills and the competences necessary for a thorough understanding of the biological response of humans to radiation exposure as well as of the radiobiological basis for estimating subsequent risks. Like all modules it consists of an online and a face-to-face phase. The online phase starts the 20th of February. The face-to-face phase takes place in Pavia, Italy, from 13-18 April 2015, and ends with an (optional) examination on the last day. Unique to Pavia is that some free lodging is available for 15 participants.
