Welcome to NACP 2023 that will be held in Reykjavik, Iceland March 30 – April 1, 2023!

The theme of the NACP 2023 symposium is “New technologies from bench to bedside” including topics such as artificial intelligence in medical physics, new technologies within therapy and diagnostics and translating new technologies into clinical practice.

- Eirik Malinen, NO: Dosimetry in imaging and therapy (title tbd)
- Barbara Malene Fischer, DK: Dose response assessment (title tbd)
- Irene Buvat, FR: Artificial intelligence in imaging and therapy (title tbd)
- Francesca Albertini, CH: "Real-time adaptive proton therapy"
- Mika Kortesniemi, FI: "Diagnostic Reference Levels and relevant clinical image quality"
- Ole Munk, DK: "Multiparametric PET"
- Ane Appelt, UK: "Application of technologies in clinical practice - the physicists role"

As a new feature, the program will include interactive thematic workshops within dosimetry and artificial intelligence in which participants will have the opportunity to contribute and discuss challenges and best practices from daily clinical life.

Parallel workshops with themes related to dosimetry:
1. Optimization of imaging protocols for dose tailored to the clinical task
2. Patient specific dosimetry in an adaptive radiotherapy workflow
3. Dosimetry in new technologies and applications

Parallel workshops with themes related to AI:
1. Clinical implementation of AI - data, regulatory requirements and solutions
2. How to measure quality of AI generated images and segmentations
3. AI for disease detection, characterization and monitoring

And in addition; proffered papers from your Nordic colleagues, posters and vendor exhibition. Meet and mingle with hold friends and new acquaintances in an informal setting in beautiful Iceland!

As with the previous NACP symposia, there will be a special issue in a relevant journal featuring papers from the symposium. A limited number of abstracts will be offered the possibility of manuscript submission for the issue – this year in Acta Oncologica. At the time of abstract submission you will be asked whether the authors would be interested in this opportunity.
