NACP-RPC CT optimization course

Welcome to Bergen - The Gateway to the Norwegian Fjords

The Radiological Physics Committee (RPC) of The Nordic Association for Clinical Physics (NACP) is pleased to invite you to the beautiful and historic city of Bergen for the 2019 course on CT optimization. The aim of the course is to cover aspects of theoretical and practical approaches to optimize the image acquisition and post-processing of CT examinations. Our goal is to give the participants useful and practical tools to start their own optimization processes at their radiological departments.

This three-day course takes place in the heart of Bergen, at the Grand Hotel Terminus the 3rd - 5th of April 2019. There will also be an optional practical exercise at Haukeland University Hospital on Wednesday afternoon. The social program includes an evening cruise to the Cornelius Island Seafood Restaurant in the archipelago south of Bergen.

The scientific committee has invited some of the greatest speakers within the field of optimization. The course is mainly aimed at medical physicists, but we also welcome clinicians, radiographers and other interested professions to join.

Topics of the course will include:

•             Iterative reconstruction and metal artifact reduction

•             Monte Carlo simulations of dose distributions

•             Tube current modulation

•             Image quality phantoms

•             Pediatric protocols

•             Dual energy

•             Model observers

… and much more.

We really look forward to seeing you in Bergen!

Se mere her.
