Principal Clinical Scientist ART-NET

Applications are invited for an exciting opportunity to work in radiotherapy research and development as a Band 8A Principal Clinical Scientist in the Radiotherapy Physics Section of Medical Physics and Engineering in the Leeds Cancer Centre (LCC), St James’s University Hospital.

The post holder will provide expert medical physics scientific support in a range of areas of work related to radiotherapy research and development, with a focus on the strategic goals of the Cancer Research UK (CRUK) funded Advanced Radiotherapy Technologies Network (ART-NET). ART-NET is a research consortium involving five UK centres (ICR/RMH, UCL, MCRC/Christie, Oxford and Leeds) and aims to accelerate the clinical translation of Stereotactic Ablative Body Radiotherapy (SABR), MR-linear accelerator technology and Proton therapy, around a unifying theme of hypofractionation.

The post will be particularly focussed on adaptive radiotherapy, including MR guided radiotherapy, adaptive planning and motion management.
